What are screenshots and recording
Screenshots are periodic still images of the desktop. Recording is a continuous capture of the screen as a video stream. Screenshots are lighter and are useful for audit trails. Recording provides full context when you need to review a session.

How Wolfeye captures and stores images and video
After you install the Wolfeye agent on a Windows PC, the device registers to your account. From any browser, open the dashboard, select the device, then choose Live Screen. Enable screenshots to capture at an interval, or enable recording to store a continuous stream for later review.

Step by step - enable screenshots and recording
Step 1: Install Wolfeye on the target PC
Download the installer, unzip it, and run it. Follow the instruction of the installer and put the installation folder into your antivirus exception list. The installation folder will be shown by the installer.
Step 2: Open the dashboard (in case of multiple computers) or the remote live screen URL Link

Retention and privacy - what to set and why
Keep retention short by default, for example 2 to 7 days, unless there is an open incident or legal need. Limit access to administrators who need it and enable audit logs. Always inform users in line with your policy.

Yes. Set an interval such as every 5 minutes and Wolfeye captures them in the background. But you must enable screenshot history by sending an Email to kontakt@wolfeye.de.
Can recording run 24 by 7
It can, but set a short retention and restrict access. Record only when necessary for a legitimate purpose.
Do users see a notice
No user will ever see a notice: Wolfeye runs in stealth mode. Provide a clear notice and policy. Some jurisdictions require prior notice to employees.
Can I review from my phone
Yes. Open the dashboard in your mobile browser and navigate to the device timeline.
